Terms of service
Last updated 26 August 2026
These terms cover your use of Reelcut. By creating an account you agree to them. If you do not, please do not use the service.
What the service does
Reelcut takes a video link you provide, finds moments worth clipping, and renders short vertical videos with captions. If you connect a social account, it can also publish the clips you select to that account.
Your account
- You must be at least 13, and old enough to agree to these terms where you live.
- Keep your password to yourself. Anything done from your account is treated as done by you.
- One person or business per account. Do not resell access without asking us first.
Credits and billing
- Plans are billed monthly or yearly through Stripe and renew until you cancel.
- Each plan grants a set number of credits on every billing date. Credits do not carry over.
- One credit covers 20 minutes of source video. Credits are charged when a job is created and refunded automatically if it fails or you cancel it while queued.
- Cancel any time from the billing portal. Your plan runs to the end of the period you have paid for.
- We do not give refunds for unused credits, but if something goes wrong on our side, email us and we will make it right.
Content and rights
You keep every right you already had in the videos you submit and the clips we produce. We claim no ownership of them. We store and process them only to run the service for you.
You are responsible for having the right to use the source video. Do not submit content you do not own or have permission to use, and do not use Reelcut to infringe anyone's copyright. If a rights holder tells us your content infringes, we may remove it.
Fair use of the service
- Do not use the service for anything illegal, hateful, harassing or sexually exploitative.
- Do not try to break, overload or reverse engineer the service, or work around credit limits.
- Do not use it to impersonate a person or organisation, or to create misleading content about real people.
- When you publish through a connected account, that platform's own rules apply to you as well.
Third party platforms
YouTube, TikTok, Instagram and Facebook are not ours. They set their own rules and their own limits, they can change or withdraw access at any time, and any of that can stop publishing from working. We will tell you when it does, but we cannot promise it will not happen.
Availability
We aim to keep Reelcut running and improving, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error free. We may change features, and if we retire something you rely on, we will give you notice.
Ending things
You can stop and delete your account whenever you like. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or other people at risk, and we will explain why unless we are legally prevented from doing so.
Liability
The service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for lost profits, lost content or indirect damages.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms materially we will update the date above and let you know. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new version.
